Here in Dennis, we’re deep-cleaning a wall-mounted mini-split. When the system cools, moisture collects on the indoor coil. Dust settles on the blower wheel, and damp surfaces give mold and mildew a place to grow.
Watch the rinse water run into the wash bag. It carries the loosened buildup down to the bucket. Those dark flecks are debris that came out of the unit. Cleaning the coil and blower helps keep buildup out of the air the unit circulates.
At Durfee Plumbing and Heating, we recommend a professional deep cleaning at least once every two years. If you notice a musty smell or weaker airflow, call us sooner.
